Ensuring that project costs, schedules, and quality remain on track while working collaboratively with a team of Project Engineers.
Maintaining a strong focus on safety by achieving zero lost time accidents, recorded injuries, and environmental releases.

Ensuring full compliance with all governmental laws and the client policies during execution, commissioning, and start-up phases.
Supporting the Site Project Manager in their duties, and deputizing as needed.
Collaborating closely with the Execute contractor to address and resolve all Project Engineering issues promptly, managing design changes effectively and ensuring facilities meet all statutory requirements, as well as stakeholder expectations.
Monitoring site construction work carried out by Execute contractors, third-party designers, vendors, and subcontractors, providing guidance and oversight to ensure all work aligns with client specifications and standards while meeting or exceeding project schedule and cost targets.
Overseeing the activities of Document Controllers and managing the flow of documents between contractors, vendors, licensors, and stakeholders, ensuring timely communication and alignment with project progress and quality requirements.
Requirements
Seasoned and experienced Engineer.
More than 15 years’ experience in an Engineering role in an Oil and Gas or Petrochemical setting. Operations experience would be a significant advantage.
Degree qualified and chartered or equivalent in an appropriate engineering discipline.
Experience of field engineering and/or construction on a major Construction Site.
Experience of supervising work in a Module Fabrication Shop.
Experience of supervising work in a Contractor’s Design Office.
Proven track record of delivering leading SHE performance.
Major project experience with a strong design engineering/procurement background and a broad understanding of multiple disciplines and their interfaces.
Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
Willingness and flexibility to travel, although the role is based in Antwerp, Belgium.
Work will be based in the Contractor’s office, but occasional travel to other locations in Europe will be required.
Broad estimating skills and practical understanding of costs (capital, operating, life cycle).
Good understanding of business drivers and the ability to align design philosophies.
Innovative, with an eye for identifying opportunities to reduce costs and challenge the status quo.
Able to define and prioritize issues and solve problems through networking with other team members or external sources.
Ability to interface effectively with people of all levels, both internal and third parties, and with wide-ranging cultural backgrounds.
