Leadership: Lead and manage the project and team, focusing on the development of an ammonia terminal and bringing the project to the next stage.
Accountability: Ensure the realization of the business case and the financial viability of the project in line with strategic objectives.
Sales & Negotiation: Actively approach customers and negotiate agreements (e.g., Heads of Agreement, contracts) in line with marketing plans.
Strategic Guidance: Provide guidance throughout the project and make critical decisions at major stage gates.
Stakeholder Management: Manage a complex stakeholder field.
Risk Management: Oversee and mitigate project risks through the project risk register.
Market Insights: Demonstrate a strong understanding of market dynamics, competitor analysis, and customer needs.
Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to investment guidelines, company policies, and safety and environmental regulations.
Financial Structuring: Contribute to financial structuring with a grasp of project financing and investment models.
Communication: Prepare and present business cases to senior management and represent the company at industry forums.
Strategy: Translate complex findings into actionable recommendations.
Requirements
Education: Demonstrated academic work and thinking level with a background in technical education.
Experience: A minimum of 10 years of relevant (international) work experience in origination, corporate development, and/or business development within the energy industry. Direct experience in developing molecule-based energy transition projects and or experience in ammonia and/or hydrogen ($H_2$) industry, is highly preferred.
Network: A strong existing network in the hydrogen space is essential.
Skills: Excellent project management skills, a solid understanding of financial constructions, and strong oral and written communication skills in English.
Compliance: Comprehensive knowledge of market circumstances and relevant industry regulations.
