STAR Specialists (STAR), part of The Specialist Group (TSG), is expanding its activities into France. This step responds to the growing demand for technical specialists from international clients with projects in France, as well as from French companies working on large-scale industrial and energy projects.
STAR provides technical specialists for complex projects in power, infrastructure, industry, high tech, and life sciences. From its international delivery team in Antwerp, STAR already supports projects across multiple European countries. The expansion into France follows increasing demand from both multinational clients already served by STAR and French companies. STAR expects to deploy dozens of specialists on French industrial projects in the coming years.
France is one of Europe’s largest markets for industrial and energy investment, with strong growth in areas such as electrification, CO₂ reduction and industrial transformation. French grid operators Enedis and RTE are expected to invest nearly €200 billion in the electricity grid by 2040. In addition, the French government is mobilising €54 billion through the national France 2030 investment programme to support industrial modernisation and the energy transition. At the same time, demand for experienced technical specialists continues to exceeds supply. A local presence enables STAR to support clients in this market directly and in full compliance with local requirements.
“Our existing clients with operations in France, as well as French prospects, require highly qualified technical specialists for their projects,” said Robert Pronk, Managing Director of STAR France. “With our presence in France, we can support clients locally with the same quality and responsiveness as in our other core markets: the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and Sweden.”
Sil Hoeve, CEO of TSG, adds: “The expansion into France marks an important next step for STAR. We aim to support our clients wherever they operate with the right technical expertise, while also offering our specialists more international opportunities. With Robert leading the business, we are confident we can build a strong position in France as well.”
STAR already provides specialist support on French projects through international assignments for clients such as EPC contractors and industrial multinationals. With this expansion, these activities will be structurally organised from a French entity, enabling local placements and support closer to both clients and specialists.
STAR expects to be operational in France in May 2026. The first structural deployment of specialists on French projects is planned for summer 2026.
With this expansion, STAR strengthens its position as a European partner for technical project support in Western Europe and takes the next step in its growth strategy.
