Responsibilities

 
  • Quality Strategy & Planning
  • Develop and implement the Project Quality Management Plan (QMP) in line with contract requirements and company standards.
  • Define project-specific quality objectives, KPIs, and reporting frameworks.
  • Establish the Inspection & Test Plan (ITP) strategy, surveillance levels, and hold/witness points.
  • Ensure risk-based thinking is applied to critical activities and supply chains.
  • Governance & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with:
  • Project specifications and contractual requirements
  • Applicable codes, standards, and regulations
  • Company Quality Management System (ISO 9001 aligned)
  • Act as focal point for Client quality requirements and audits.
  • Lead internal and external quality audits, including suppliers and contractors.
  • Supplier & Procurement Quality (SQM)
  • Define and implement the Supplier Quality Strategy.
  • Review and approve vendor quality documentation (QAPs, ITPs, procedures).
  • Coordinate and supervise:
  • Expediting and inspection activities
  • Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs)
  • Manage supplier qualification and performance evaluation.
  • Inspection & Surveillance
  • Ensure effective implementation of:
  • Inspections, tests, and surveillance activities
  • Notifications of Inspection (NOIs)
  • Coordinate with expediting and site teams to ensure timely inspections.
  • Monitor and report inspection progress and quality performance.
  • Non-Conformity Management
  • Establish and oversee Non-Conformance Management process:
  • NCR identification, classification, and tracking
  • Root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Chair or support Material Review Boards (MRB).
  • Ensure closure and lessons learned integration.
  • Documentation & Handover
  • Define and control project quality documentation requirements:
  • Manufacturing Record Books (MRB/MDR)
  • Inspection dossiers and certification packages
  • Ensure completeness, traceability, and compliance for final handover.
  • Site Quality Management
  • Support construction and commissioning phases ensuring:
  • Implementation of site quality plans
  • Coordination with site QA/QC teams and contractors
  • Monitor site inspections, testing, and punch list management.
  • Reporting & Communication
  • Provide regular quality reports to Project Management and Client:
  • KPIs, NCR status, inspection progress, supplier performance
  • Act as the main quality interface between:
  • Client
  • EPCM/PMC team
  • Contractors and vendors

Requirements

  • Engineering degree or equivalent technical background.
  • Minimum 10–15 years of experience in quality management within large industrial projects (oil & gas, energy, infrastructure, or similar)
  • Proven experience in EPC/EPCM project environments.
  • Strong knowledge of:
  • ISO 9001 and audit practices
  • Welding, NDT, and manufacturing processes
  • International codes and standards
