Network & Cybersecurity Engineer

Verantwoordelijkheden

• Design, implementation, operation, and maintenance of modern IT and OT infrastructures, including networks, servers, and virtualized environments
• Engineering and cybersecurity support for complex building automation and critical infrastructure projects, such as:
• Large commercial and industrial buildings
• Utility and infrastructure facilities
• Safety- and security-critical environments (HVAC, fire safety, access control, surveillance systems)
• Configuration, operation, and maintenance of network components and firewalls (routers, switches, access points, firewalls, VPNs)
• Integration and securing of OT systems (building automation, HVAC, security systems) within IT network architectures
• Installation, configuration, and maintenance of Windows client and server environments
• Administration of Active Directory, including user, group, and Group Policy management
• Design and management of network architectures, including VLANs, Layer 3 routing, QoS, and redundancy concepts
• Participation in cybersecurity projects, including technical risk analyses, vulnerability assessments, and system hardening
• Development, documentation, and quality assurance of IT/OT systems
• Collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders, including vendors and system integrators

Vereisten

• Strong knowledge of networking protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Ethernet, IEEE 802.11)
• Experience with firewalls, VPNs, and network security solutions
• Solid understanding of Windows-based environments and Microsoft Active Directory
• Experience with virtualization platforms (Hyper-V, VMware, cloud-based environments) and storage systems
• Knowledge of IT and OT security principles, including system hardening and secure architecture design
• Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and standards (e.g. ISO, NIST, IEC 62443)
• Ability to define and apply security policies and perform risk assessments
• Analytical, solution-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative, proactive working style
• Professional proficiency in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
