Warehouse Manager

Responsibilities

• Inventory Management: Oversee the receipt, storage, and issuance of materials and equipment required for the construction project.
• Warehouse Organization: Implement efficient warehouse layout and storage methods to optimize space utilization and facilitate easy access to materials.
• Supervision: Lead and manage warehouse staff, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth operations.
• Quality Control: Ensure that incoming materials meet quality standards and conduct regular inspections to maintain the integrity of stored items.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, transactions, and warehouse activities.
• Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with relevant health and safety regulations within the warehouse environment.
• Coordination: Collaborate with project managers, procurement teams, and subcontractors to coordinate material deliveries and support project timelines.
• Problem Solving: Address any issues or discrepancies related to inventory, storage, or warehouse operations in a timely and effective manner

FYI: mutual spoken language between colleagues is German. An inside job with occasional forklift work outside Software used: Navision and MS Office

Requirements

• Proven experience in warehouse management, preferably in a construction or industrial setting.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively supervise and motivate a team.
• Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
• Forklift certification (preferred).
• Understanding of tank construction materials and equipment (an advantage).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
