Sub-Project Manager Engineering

Responsibilities

• As part of the project organization, the sub-project manager engineering is responsible for the overall engineering coordination.
• He / She will coordinate the activities of the subcontractors for the relevant subcontract.
• He / She will involve the discipline lead engineers and assure the compliance with local, legal and group requirements for the sub project.
• He / She will be responsible for all design aspects of the subproject and will incorporate the operational design requirements into the design.
• He/ She will coordinate all activities between the subproject and the different departments.
• Also he/she will be involved in the construction phase of the project and support the activities for preparation of the commissioning, start-up and ramp-up period of the subproject. He/she reports to the site project manager.  

Requirements

• You have successfully completed a master’s degree or diploma. It would be beneficial to have an understanding of chemical or metallurgical production processes and requirements.
• You have at least 5-7 years of practical experience in project engineering and work experience as a project engineer and sub-project manager of major CapEx projects (>10 Mio. EUR), ideally in an international engineering environment.
• You are well-versed with Belgian construction standards.
• You can trust in your professional experience with relevant software tools (e.g. MS 365 incl. MS Project, simulation software, ERP software).
• Fluent written and spoken Dutch and English is required, German or French is a plus.
