Senior / Lead Instrument Engineer

Responsibilities

• In this position you lead the instrumentation discipline within projects in the offshore and energy market.
• You provide technical support to projects and deliver designs within the set requirements (in time, budget, quality, safety, legal regulations) and other internal and external procedures.
• You report to the department manager/project manager.
• Monitoring the quality of the most important documents and preparing and assessing quotation evaluations are part of your duties.
• We challenge you to keep learning, so always evaluate the work being done on a project so you can learn and improve for subsequent projects.

Requirements

• You have a Master's or Bachelor's Degree and at least 10 years of relevant experience, also as a team lead, you worked for an engineering company for at least 5 years;
• You are experienced in leading a team of instrumentation engineers and designers in detailed engineering projects;
• You are experienced in greenfield Automation and Telecommunication detailed engineering;
• You are experienced in preparing specs, TBE and and attending FAT for Scada/DCS systems and Fire and Gas detection system;
• You posses good communication skills and have a commercial attitude.
• You are proficient in preparing deliverables like cause and effect, control narratives, network architecture diagrams etc.
• You are experienced in preparing instrumentation detailed design deliverables like cablelist, instrument/ telecom/ Fire detection block diagrams, instrument/ telecom/ Fire detection layouts, termination diagrams, installation typical hookups, mounting typicals, loop diagrams
• You are familiar with the rules of the classification society and the design of codes.
• You have to be a fluent (excellent) speaker in the English language, Dutch is a big pre.
