Responsibilities

The project lead is responsible for following activities:

  • Monitoring all phases of the project, from the signing of contracts to the acceptance of works, and in particular ensuring the consistency of the studies and the execution of the various lots,
  • Ensuring the technical monitoring of the process package.
  • Review of the engineering documents of the process package for compliance with the contracts, the performance criteria and quality standards.
  • Inspection of equipment and works during the manufacturing and assembly phases: progress, FAT, SAT, etc.
  • Monitoring the planning, budget and quality of studies and works.
  • Technical management of external design offices and approved bodies.
  • On the basis of his own expertise, advising the project engineers, so that they can reach a conclusion or take a decision.
  • Assisting the PM in the management and coordination of companies, both in technical and contractual aspects.
  • Drafting of progress reports of the Process package and all follow-up documents requested by the PM or the Steering Committee.
  • Management of the periodic (monthly) technical meetings of the Process package and drafting of the minutes.
  • Participation in the periodic (monthly) technical meetings of the other lots.
  • Participation in periodic (monthly) progress meetings.

Requirements

  • In-depth knowledge of the process industry and of process engineering and industrial projects.
  • In-depth knowledge (technical, functional) of waste and/or biomass thermal treatment technologies: combustion, heat recovery, energy recovery, flue gas treatment, etc.
  • Knowledge of "technical" analysis methods specific to multidisciplinary projects: HAZID, HAZOP, ATEX, etc.
  • Bilingual French/English
  • Minimum 10 years experience in multi-disciplinary projects, including at least 5 years in the field of energy production (power plant, waste incineration, biomass, etc.).
  • Rigour and leadership.
  • Good communication skills with the project team and with companies.
  • Good presentation and analysis skills, with the ability to provide solutions to problems.
  • Autonomy/initiative.
  • Planning and organisation.
