Project Engineer/Project leader

Responsibilities

As a Project Engineer you are responsible for the completion of maintenance and alterations projects. You are part of multidisciplinary project teams in which you fulfil the role of project engineer. You take care of the following activities on a daily basis:

• You fulfil the role of project leader for one or more projects that are completed under your leadership
• For assigned projects, you are responsible for budget, planning, engineering, coordination of purchase/contracting materials and services in association with the various internal specialists
• You develop and carry out projects in close consultation with internal customers and other stakeholders
• You are involved in the coordination of the construction phase and the fulfilment of a coordinating role for the final handover to the Operations and Maintenance department
• The engineering and construction is in most cases performed by specialised contractors; you as a project engineer are responsible for safety, quality, advancement and costs
• You ensure that all state and safety demands, technical specifications and user requirements are fulfilled
• You are responsible for drawing up and/or checking feasibility studies, cost calculations, technical specifications and drawings, project progress reports and so on
• For assigned projects you are responsible for the total project completion as part of management of change

Requirements

• You have completed higher occupational education/scientific education in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, chemical technology or equivalent
• Multidisciplinary technical knowledge and experience
• You are able to express yourself well in spoken and written Dutch and English
• You are able to maintain professional contacts with internal and external parties
• You are strong in drawing up project documents, reports and so on
• You are safety-aware, flexible and able to handle stress
• You are persuasive, have good interpersonal and analytical skills
• You have conceptual skills
• You are independent and a genuine initiator
