Participates in conceptual engineering (opportunity and alternative analysis) project phase by providing technical consultation.
Provides technical consultation, standards and codes, single line diagram, motor list, scope of work and deliverables as part of front-end engineering work. Alternatively, works with external resources to ensure technical review support. Extent of participation depends on size of project and perceived adequacy of external resources. Provides technical review support in cases of contracted services during Detail Design phase of projects. Budget cost driven.
Provides equipment troubleshooting during startup and operation.
May be required to execute all facets of a project, including project management.
Supports Cabot and regulatory/mandatory standards as applicable to the site/region
Maintains and updates Engineering drawings and project files and records as well as Process Safety information specifications and files.
Create complex drawings of components, assemblies or sub-assemblies. Works from notes, sketches verbal/written instructions.
Uses formulas and calculations to determine scale planes, dimensions, and develops technical illustrations.
