Responsibilities

 

  • Review and manage pipeline asset, inspection and maintenance data in the IMS / PLSS System and COABIS
  • Technical review of Pipeline Inspection and Maintenance reports, including:
    • In line inspections
    • Cathodic Protection measurements
    • DCVG Surveys
    • ROW Scans
    • Offshore acoustic surveys
  • Ensuring integrity assessments are scheduled in a timely manner using the appropriate tools (e.g. IMS-PLSS, SAP etc.)
  • Assuring the quality of data analysis provided by vendors
  • Performing data integration and presenting results to stakeholders
  • Compiling all data and feedback to establish re-assessment intervals budgets
  • Close collaboration with other disciplines (e.g. Materials & Corrosion, Process Engineering, Process Chemistry, Inspection, Operations etc.) to monitor and manage the relevant CMF and IOW parameters
  • Accountable for generating metrics and processes to ensure prescribed methodologies effectively address all relevant threats to achieve Goal Zero and are in compliance with all regulatory requirements and NAM’s Integrity Management Program.
  • Identifying the most appropriate assessment technology for all pipeline integrity threats and recommending new technologies and/or techniques where appropriate.

 

Requirements

  • The Pipeline Engineer should have BS or higher in Engineering with 5+ years of professional experience in the pipeline industry and is expected to possess the following:
  • Knowledge of pipeline operations, integrity assessment, degradation, data analysis and integration, and repairs
  • Experience in selecting appropriate in line inspection technologies and able to use data to perform FFS analysis
  • Expertise in pipeline integrity threat assessment and degradation modes
  • Experience in pipeline cathodic protection, coating systems, DCVG surveys, leak detection methodologies and internal corrosion systems
  • Skill in Dutch regulations, codes, and (international) standards affecting pipelines
  • Successful experience in contributing to projects and modifications
  • Self-motivation and ability to work independently on several issues simultaneously
  • Ability to lead and drive improvement initiatives across cross functional teams including different cultures and geographical areas
  • Strong influencing and communication skills
  • Record of delivering results through others
  • Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communications and meeting facilitation skills; strong skills in relevant software tools such as IMS-PLSS, SAP, MS Excel, PowerBI, MyMaps, conceptual knowledge of vendor raw data viewing software; ability to balance workload of multiple projects and activities.
