The P&ID (Piping & Instrumentation Diagram) Engineer is technically responsible for the project P&IDs.
You will set up and manage the engineering database linked to the P&IDs.
You determine the required process parameters and work closely together with other disciplines like instrumentation and piping.
You need to ensure that contractual and code requirements (such as ASME) of the Heat Recovery Steam Generators (HRSGs) are correctly implemented into the P&IDs.
You will also be involved in the specification and evaluation of equipment such as valves.
You review quotations from suppliers and work together with the Supply department in the selection of the suppliers.
The above tasks require that you understand the process in the HRSG.
Requirements
You have a Bachelor degree in a discipline that has common grounds with the subject matter (for example Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Technology).
You have experience working with databases and are able to quickly familiarize yourself with new software. Preferably you already have
experience with the software package COMOS.
Good understanding of thermal & hydraulic processes.
You have good teamwork skills and are capable of independent action.
You must be able to work accurately and to deal with tight schedules.
You are a driven engineer and are or would like to become an expert in the field of P&ID engineering.
You have good communication/reporting skills in English.
You are in possession of a European passport (due to travel requirements)
