Responsibilities

  • Produce and maintain naval architecture drawings for hull arrangements, general arrangements, tank layouts, deck layouts, and accommodation/living quarters in compliance with class, flag, and project requirements.
  • Develop vessel layouts supporting stability, weight distribution, operability, safety, and maintainability throughout the FPSO lifecycle.
  • Support naval architecture analyses by preparing drawings and technical data related to stability, weight control, draft, trim, and vessel motions.
  • Integrate marine system interfaces, including mooring, offloading, ballast, bilge, seawater, and marine piping systems, into vessel layouts.
  • Prepare and update 2D and 3D models using AutoCAD and/or E3D, ensuring alignment with engineering inputs and constructability requirements.
  • Coordinate with structural, piping, mechanical, electrical, and outfitting disciplines to resolve layout clashes and interface issues.
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable classification society rules (e.g., ABS, DNV), offshore regulations, and industry standards.
  • Identify design constraints and technical risks at an early stage and escalate unresolved issues to the Lead Designer or Naval Architect.
  • Support FPSO engineering projects by delivering technically sound and practical naval architecture design solutions.
