Medior Completions Engineer

Responsibilities

• The Completions Engineer is an important role as part of the MOC Team and process and it is based on closing the ongoing MOCs (Management of Change) and assessing whether there are lose ends that need to be resolved.
• The job requires realizing process design and plant change procedures for experimental research installations and utility systems in Experimental Installations Department.
• The function is largely based on the administrative completion of MOCs after the execution phase. This means checking the documentation and updating the latest changes to the drawings in consultation with other Process Design Engineers.
• The job includes archiving of various data streams from different discipline engineers and resolving B punchlist items (deviations that must be resolved within a period of 3 months).
• The candidate must be very independent and driven to collect the missing information /data from different parties and process such data correctly. This in consultation with the Inspection Team and the MOC team of Experimental Installations Department
• Autonomously design in a safe and cost-effective manner with the highest quality 
• Initiate and adopt new technologies, guidelines, and applications to increase the customers’ competitive edge 
• Responsible for the integrity of the design
• Pro-active and effective communication on workload and priorities, ability to manage changing priorities 
• Design processes by using design software, design guidelines and calculation templates, resulting in technically correct and viable designs at a competitive price
• Estimate, plan and control the required hours and costs for a design
• Work on multiple plant changes and projects simultaneously
• Effective supervision of design realization: budget control, compliance with safety procedures
• Continuously develop new technical options and expand the range of experimental applications
• Review of work delivered by junior engineers and third parties
• Responsible for interfacing between research and utility infrastructure
• Responsible for viable and safe design
• Deliver presentations internally
• Consultant with respect to design, planning and cost for all STCA research departments
• Development and update of discipline specific templates and guidelines

Requirements

• 3-8 years of working experience with Process Design Engineering or a closely related discipline
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering Technology / Process Technology
• Dutch & English: fluent in speaking and writing; Fluent Dutch is required for this job.
• You are based in Netherlands 
• Knowledge:
  • European and international standards and specifications
  • Process Design engineering knowledge
  • Drafting of process flow schemes (P&ID), process design notes and Cause and Effect matrices.
  • Capable of reading Electrical & Instrumentation drawings and documents
  • Experience in Project Closet-Out including preparation of as-built documentation including changes to the design.
  • Structure and discipline in documentation management, including documents control and archiving
  • Proactive in resolving and coordinating the clearance of punchlist items for multiple projects and plant changes
  • Experience in portfolio reporting and information visualization for sharing status and latest updates
