Mechanical Static Reliability Engineer

Responsibilities

• Ensuring reliable mechanical & static assets by eliminating and continuous improving SSE NL Sweeteners Production Process by maintaining, evaluating and improving the plants maintenace reliability programs, while ensuring the safety and food-safety in the Sweeteners production areas, all in close cooperation with the senior Mechanic Static Reliability Engineer.
• Food Safety, Quality & Regulatory - Responsible for correct implementation of corrective mechanical/static maintenance related actions resulting from internal and/or external food safety items. - Responsible for making food safety impact studies from mechanical/static maintenance related operational changes ( acc. to MOC process ) and advice the plant operations management on the findings. (10%)
• Environment, Health & Safety - Responsible for follow up on corrective mechanical/static maintenance related actions resulting from internal and external, safety and environmental audits. - Responsible for making environmental and safety impact studies from mechanical/static maintenance related operational changes ( acc. to MOC process ) and advice the plant operations management on the findings. (10%)
• Reliability - Responsible for developing, implementing and auditing mechanical/static maintenance reliability programs. - Responsible for the follow up on improvement actions resulting from Central Maintenance Best Practice and Project review audits (25%)
• Cost Management - In maintenance projects responsible for achieving the most cost effective reliable solutions. (25%)
• Continuous Improvement - Responsible for identifying, removing non-value added activities. - Responsible for initiating and implementing value adding activities by preparing and proposing maintenance reliability programs. - Supporting Operations in failure prevention by analyzing process non conformances and providing corrective advice. - Responsible for training operations in the best utilization of the process equipments (30%)

Requirements

• Mechanical Engineering Degree at a Bachelor level.
• 5+ years experience as a mechanical / static engineer.
• Have working experience with Apollo RCA processes, TPM and Reliability Excellence programs.
• Have experience in working with and optimizing maintenance reliability PM and PdM programs.
• Have basic knowledge of most common PM and PdM technics.
• Have basic knowledge of vessel design according ASME codes.
• Is familiar with Dutch Steam Vessel legislation.
• Have basic knowledge of maintaining and improving high speed rotating equipment.
• Have basic knowledge of maintaining and improving (agricultural – foodsolids) transport systems.
• Have basic knowledge of civil constructions applied in food processing plants.
• Have basic knowledge of maintaining pressure / vacuum safety release systems.
• Have basic knowledge of process and utility pipeline design.
• Have basic knowledge of corrosion detection,protection and prevention systems.
• Have basic knowledge in materials applied in the agricultural - food industry.
