Responsibilities

  • The maintenance reliability engineer plays a key role in ensuring the RCM process is applied in a consistent manner to define the required maintenance scope to ensure the required reliability of a plant, system, or equipment item.
  • This implies that your task includes but may not be limited to the following accountabilities for the Production Unit/Areas assigned to you:
  • Conform timeline set in the Continuous scoping procedure, collect the RCM related TA scope, review this scope with disciplines (engineering and technology), deliver the scope to the TA organization and review the executed tasks post-TA
  • For Capital projects and Plant changes / MOC’s, timely initiation of an RCM study / review for the Project related new, discarded, or changed equipment
  • Review and process change requests initiated as part of continuous improvement processes, i.e., feedback from maintenance execution, failure investigations and reliability studies
  • Assure proposed changes are compliant with agreed standards
  • Provide management reporting on progress (KPI’s / Close-out reports)
  • Ensure defined RCM tasks are implemented / updated in the relevant tools (GSAP, OTM, PTM) at Project RFSU
  • Perform / Document the RCM studies in the IMS RCM data repository.
  • Facilitate the drafting and roll-out of Equipment Care Strategies.
  • Facilitate the transition of management of Turnaround related tasks from IMS RCM to GSAP.
  • Provide overall assurance for the RCM process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering or relevant
  • Extensive experience as an engineer or maintenance specialist in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the (Petro) Chemical industry
  • Skilled in RCM-II or FMEA principles, practices and applications
  • Knowledge and application experience of risk & reliability management systems and techniques
  • The successful candidate is expected to be a self-starting and hands-on type of engineer with sound technical understanding, especially in maintenance / engineering of plant and equipment as present in the various Production Units (PU’s) of the refinery
  • Good interpersonal skills are required to establish and maintain working relationships with a wide range of staff (engineering, technology and project disciplines, maintenance and operations)
  • Fluency in Dutch and English is essential.
