Technically responsible for all Electrical and Instrumentation- automation engineering work assigned. will delegate high level of supervision and specific checking-reviewing-approving project activities.
Capable of formulating resolutions and supervision of technically challenging and/or high-profile issues, with support from Site E&I , and effectively communicating between operator, project team and Contractors.
Reviews, and checks the Electrical activities including: Philosophies, Specifications, Schedules, Drawings & Diagrams, Datasheets and Technical Requisitions including LLI.
Identifies and resolves discrepancies and divergences from original proposal / contract by raising technical queries with projects / client.
Capable of participating in Factory Acceptance Tests.
Participates in multi-discipline Engineering Design Reviews and provides all necessary Electrical & Automation engineering input and support to close out of actions.
Identifies a clear scope of work and prepares the Master Document Register (MDR). Responsible for planning / scheduling the Electrical Engineering activities and manpower resource. Quantifies the total number of engineering deliverables, man-hour allocation and format of delivery, and other requirements for execution of the work. Provides necessary regular project controls / reporting input to Project Management.
Provides support to Procurement including for long lead item enquiry prepares Technical Requisitions, reviews vendor documentation, and provides Technical Bid Evaluation support to ensure design conformance.
Ensures compatibility and conformance with client specifications and recommends cost effective improvements to equipment selection / specifications within the scope of client specifications and requirements.
Consults Quality Assurance with any quality issues ensuring compliance with the client's ISO Quality procedures, Project Quality Plan and Design Integrity processes and procedures and plant standards requirement.
Performs related duties as and when instructed by line manager.
Leading the C&I team with a focus on technical quality of deliverables and delivery of technical documents in accordance with schedule and budget.
Provide technical direction and inputs to the C&I team personnel.
Review and approve engineering documents such as calculations, specifications, philosophies, datasheets and drawings to ensure compliance with specification and functional integrity.
Perform safety related calculations and provide input to safety reviews - What If, Hazop, LOPA & SIL Assessment, etc.
Support preparation and carry-out review and approval of drawings including general arrangements, cables routes, block diagrams, loops sheets, hook-ups.
Ensure all deliverables are aligned with company and client procedures and applicable standards; ensure documents are originated, checked and approved by suitably competent personnel.
Liaise with clients, contractors and vendors.
Lead on project technical decisions.
Co-ordinate C&I activities with other disciplines
Attend internal and external project review meetings.
Monitor changes in scope of work and raises change notification with Project Manager.
Input to project plans and schedules and cost estimates.

Requirements
BSc / BEng, with a minimum of 15 years’ experience typically for operator and EPC Contractor
Chartered Engineer is desirable with plant operation background
Minimum of 15 years general engineering experience fusing on the design office and field engineering.
Design and commissioning of HV and LV electrical systems and provide associated calculations and Design of power distribution systems.
Responsible for updating, maintaining, and controlling Electrical Engineering technical documentation as well as Electrical and C&I project specification.
Experience in HV/LV cable sizing and design and using cable sizing software (ETAP/AMTECH).
Well-developed understanding of Matrix management systems and organisational structures
Well-developed computer skills and knowledge of databases, spreadsheets, and engineering design programs.
Understanding of European & international standards and regulatory authority requirements in the Process & Energy Sector
