Lead E&I Engineer

Responsibilities

• As Lead Engineer E&I, you will be responsible for maintaining contact with the client.
• Written reports and reporting.
• Feasibility studies and coming up with innovative concepts.
• Leading the engineering and design activities within the discipline.
• Responsible for monitoring planning and hours budget for his discipline.
• Timely reporting of additional and less work incl. impact on workload and planning; if necessary, supporting the project responsible with the client during the negotiation of additional and less work.
• Actively support the Project Engineer in technical coordination, in particular by timely exchange of information to and from the other disciplines.
• Organising and attending meetings with the client's Discipline Manager.
• Propose and evaluate various alternatives and actively support the client. 
• Calculate (e.g. Safe Valve Control Valves, flow orifice, flow meter and level controls).
• Preparation of datasheets of instruments (control valves, safety valves, level, flow, pressure and temperature measurements, analyzers, ...).
• Preparation of the requisition documents for the instrument packages, technical comparisons, technical clarifications and recommendations.
• Site investigations, active guidance incl. checking of designers: one line diagrams, field layouts, cable routings, logic diagrams, wiring sheets, loop sheets, ...
• Drawing up the technical part of the specifications for the installation works as well as the MTO.
• Making technical comparisons of offers from constructors and suppliers
• Checking and, if necessary, adapting documents and drawings of constructors and suppliers
• Technical assistance with construction.  

Requirements

• You obtained a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or a Professional Bachelor's degree in Electro-Mechanics or you have acquired equivalent knowledge through experience/
• You love technical challenges and complex challenges/
• Knowledge of Access, INtools and CONVAL.
• Knowledge of ATEX.
• Explosion safety file (AREI 19) is a strong plus.
• HAZOP experience is a strong plus.
• Knowledge of SIL is a strong plus.
• You have an excellent knowledge of English. German is a big plus.
