  • For one of the project teams building several of these offshore 2GW substations under an EPCI contract, we are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Electrical Engineer Low Voltage Systems in our Large Projects Offshore (LPO) department, based in Arnhem.
  • The Electrical Engineer is responsible to review the electrical low voltage design and all associated engineering deliverables from the Stations (HVDC) contractor for compliance with requirements.
  • The Electrical Engineer will report to the Sub Project Lead LV Electrical and work closely together with him throughout all phases of the project from the design phase up to the handover of the offshore substation to the operations department.
  • The scope includes minimum six platforms constructed by the same EPCI contractor.
  • The scope includes all low voltage equipment and systems (


    • Electrical engineering background or equivalent (BSc. degree or higher).
    • 5 years+ experience with design, installation, testing and commissioning of low voltage systems
    • You are meticulous in your reviews, while not losing the bigger picture.
    • You have experience with offshore oil & gas or offshore wind platforms.
    • You have knowledge of the relevant norms and standards.
    • You have excellent communication and cooperation skills.
    • You show initiative and you are dynamic, enthusiastic, intrinsically motivated, you take your responsibility and ownership (committed); no 'nine to five-mentality’.
    • You are willing to travel on occasionally abroad to the location of the designer in the United Emirates (Sharjah) or to the manufacturing locations of the low voltage equipment and optionally later to the fabrication yard(s) located in South East Asia or elsewhere.
    • You will work on Mondays and Tuesdays together with the rest of the team from the office in Arnhem and on the other days flexible from home or from the office.
    • You are fluent in English, both verbally and in writing.
    • Speaking Dutch is an advantage, but not mandatory.
    • Start as soon as possible (roles will close on 18 January)
    • The weekly working time is 40 hours
