Job description The Controls Engineer sets the boundary conditions for the safe, efficient and reliable operation of the Heat Recovery Steam Generator (HRSG).
The engineer prepares the required documentation for proper implementation of the HRSG controls and participates in customer and site meetings related to safety, controls and tests.
The engineer will be in close contact with other disciplines like instrumentation, electrical, thermal and design life and shall ensure that contractual requirements will be met and controls will correctly be implemented.
The engineer will be responsible for the following topics:
System description (control narrative)
Functional Controls Diagrams
Start-up, shut-down and operation of the HRSG
Hazop studies / SIL assessments
Burner management system
Factory acceptance tests Process Control Systems
Site support related to controls
Requirements
You have a Bsc. or Msc. degree in a discipline that has common grounds with the subject matter (for example Chemical Technology, Mechanical Engineering or Process Technology)
At least 5 years of experience as controls engineer ranging from concept to detailed engineering, implementation, FAT/SAT and commissioning. ? General knowledge of DCS systems and preferably have knowledge of Siemens T3000 controls system or SIMATIC PCS 7
Knows how to convert functional requirements into clear input for the PCS programmer.
General knowledge of measurement and control technology.
Good understanding of fluid flow and heat transfer technology
You have good teamwork skills, are able to act independently and know how to handle tight schedules.
You know how to distinguish between main and side issues
Excellent English skills (both written and spoken)
