Civil Engineer

Responsibilities

• Ensure EHS considerations are included for site civil works.
• Provide advise and assistance to the site teams and 3rd Parties for civil aspects of both projects and maintenance activities. Including:
• Lifting Plans
• Excavation certificates o Soil Investigations
• Evaluate civil documents and advise on civil works.
• Evaluate civil specifications and proposals.
• Maintain up to date site plans (“Blokkaarten”) ? Assist site services by coordinating work on the site firewater, drinking water, air, nitrogen and drain networks.
• Develop specifications for various site utilities and services.
• Perform and assist with civil related achieving activities.
• Ensure that up to date site emergency drawings and plans are available in the gatehouse and emergency response center.

Requirements

• MBO/HBO Education with a civil and structure focus
• Minimum of 5 years of civil engineering experience with experience in brownfield projects withing the (Petro)Chemical Industry.
• Ability to maintain civil documentation in ACAD. Job Knowledge, Abilities and Personal Characteristics:
• Job Knowledge in: Understanding of safety procedures in design and execution.Ability to maintain civil documentation in ACAD.
• Ability to: Effectively multi-task in an environment with changing priorities. Agree priorities and meet deadlines Interact effectively with personnel at all levels.
• Work with the following programs, Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, ACAD, Lotus Notes (preferable)
• Personal characteristics: ? Practical and pragmatic approach to problem solving
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Good Language skills - Dutch and English
