Your main focus is executing studies and designing and specifying piping systems and equipment for the process installation. This usually happens in collaboration with the other disciplines.
You’ll be focused on piping engineering in the broadest sense of the word. Based on P&ID’s, your are able to route the piping in an efficient way in Autodesk Plant3D, taking into account important aspects such as maintenance, operability, ergonomics and hygienic design.
You configure the right pipe specs in your software environment. You align with 3D modelers from other technical disciplines and the BIM coordinator the design.
Your piping design is based on the (inter)national norms such as EN, RToD and ASME.
You draw up classification lists according to the Pressure Equipment Directive.
You will also work closely with the client and with colleagues from other disciplines. In larger projects, you collaborate with engineering partners and also teams from other branches of RHDHV organization.
Requirements
We are looking for a 3D Piping Engineer with 5 years of work experience with a completed mechanical education (bachelor or master degree) or equivalent.
At least five years experience within piping- and / or mechanical engineering;
Experience in hygienic design (eg. according EHEDG);
Understanding of the PED;
Strong track record in 3D modeling software, such as Autodesk Plant3D;
Affinity with the rules in pipe stress and applies them into your design;
Feels at home in an international working environment;
An enterprising, proactive and flexible attitude;
A team player, willing to take responsibility;
Good communication skills and command of the Dutch and English language;
