Verantwoordelijkheden

• Expedites equipment, materials and services to ensure deliveries are in accordance with the project schedule need dates. Works with suppliers and other project team members to resolve schedule-related problems quickly, economically and effectively.
• Monitors and tracks order status in order to respond proactively.
• Maintains close contact with vendors to ensure that promised delivery dates for material and non-material requirements on purchase orders are met.
• Expedites and reports the progress of vendor's procurement activities, shop schedule and shipping promise (frequency of contact and level of expediting effort depend on construction need dates and vendor's performance). Performs production status audits at supplier’s facilities and project sites when required.
• Monitors issue and receipt of all documents and drawings related to valves and other critical (expediting category 5) purchase orders (internal & external).
• Reports to the Procurement Manager. Coordinates vendor inspections with QA/QC Manager and transportation with the KOG forwarding agent.
• Provides admin support to the Procurement team (back up). Assists and coordinates with the Project Buyer on overages, shortages and damage claims.
• Identifies opportunities for improvement and makes constructive suggestions for change.
• Conducts effective performance evaluations
• Resolves conflicting situations. Mitigates Vendor conflict and communication problems
• Keeps track of lessons learned and shares those lessons with team members.
• Builds a knowledge base for Vendor Management
• Complies with and helps to enforce standard policies and procedures.
• Ensures all work and tasks are carried out in accordance with the Companies ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001 QHSE Procedures.

Vereisten

• HBO degree (technical or business) education and work level.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in one or more of the following areas: procurement, expediting, technical design, quality control, field service, manufacturing or construction of valves, piping materials and/or welding experience & knowledge is a definite advantage.
• Technical background and/or affinity. A technical diploma or degree would be a definite asset.
• Driving licence B
• Skilled in modern languages (English and Dutch are mandatory, ideally also German and/or French).
• Knowledge of and skilled use of PC and windows-based software.
