Maintenance Engineer Mechanical

Responsibilities

• Providing technical expertise, implementing reliability best practices and optimized preventive maintenance tasks, leading root cause investigations, supporting maintenance execution team and providing technical support in (emergency) repairs in  the plant
• Providing technical knowledge, specification of new and replacement equipment and assets, including during start-up
• Responsible for Implementation of the Preventative Maintenance plans and determining Spare Parts Strategies
• Leading root cause investigations (RCPS).
• Review feedback of routine maintenance work and inspections and prepare proposals  for corrective actions or improvements
• Support and where required lead repairs  or modification in the plant
• Day to day support to the maintenance execution team with technical guidance to effectively to deliver the maintenance tasks.
• Operate as key participant in the Reliability Improvement programs.
• Second level troubleshooting of field equipment issues and significant equipment overhauls.
• Execute the development, implementation and continuous improvement to the corrosion management programs.
• Act as Mechanical Design Authority.

Requirements

• Minimum 5-8 years Operations and Maintenance experience within a Manufacturing environment.
• Experience with SAP
• Proven planning and coordination skills
• Bachelor degree in Engineering.
• Knowledge and understanding of sound engineering practices and principles relating to mechanical equipment.
• Knowledge of fixed equipment design, installation and maintenance, including tanks, vessels, piping etc.
• Knowledge of rotating equipment design, installation and maintenance
• Knowledge and understanding of Predictive technologies including vibration monitoring, thermography, lubrication analysis and ultrasonic.
• Basic knowledge of Lean Six Sigma is an advantage
