I’m a consultant in Team Construction and I’m responsible for the discipline Work Planning and Supervision in E&I. I have a lot of contact with clients and I like to ensure that my specialists are happy and stay happy. I conduct regular evaluation sessions with them, and I’m getting to know the market thoroughly though my efforts to identify and establish contact with other specialists in the industry. In order to maintain close relationships with our specialists and keep abreast of all the projects, I also make regular visits to the various plants.
The nice thing about my work at STAR is that I’m an integral part of a well-oiled team. My work is genuinely appreciated and there are plenty of opportunities for growth and professional development. You learn a lot as a consultant, which makes the position an excellent place to be if you’re looking ahead to the rest of your career. In addition, STAR organises plenty of fun activities outside of work, and we have our own bar, which always sees lots of laughs on Friday afternoons!
This is my first full-time job, but it feels like coming home. STAR motivates me to give just that little bit extra, which is more than compensated by great colleagues and fun activities.
The position is especially attractive due to the pleasant combination of working at the office and on-site visits. No two days are the same, really, and you never know what to expect. You gain a wealth of experience that will stay with you for the rest of your career.
Finally, receiving an order and initiating the fulfilment process always gives me a buzz. Hard work is appreciated and generously rewarded at STAR, and you’re given the freedom to do the things you do in your own way.
