Sourcing Manager

As an Engineer in the petrochemical sector, you play a leading role in the design, development and improvement of a plant and you work closely together on the largest projects. Together with a team of experts, you will provide efficient and sustainable solutions that meet the highest standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop strategic sourcing and procurement plans for major capital investment projects.
• Manage end-to-end tendering processes, from market engagement through contract award.
• Lead commercial negotiations with suppliers, contractors, and service providers.
• Advise project teams and stakeholders on commercial and contractual matters.
• Oversee contract performance and supplier obligations during project execution.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate commercial and contractual risks throughout all project phases.
• Contribute to investment proposals and support key decision-making processes.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or contract management, preferably within CAPEX projects.
• Experience working in complex technical, industrial, or engineering environments.
• Strong understanding of procurement processes, tendering procedures, and contract management.
• Excellent negotiation and commercial management skills.
• Proven ability to manage and align multiple stakeholders across different organizational levels.
• Bachelor's degree (HBO level or equivalent), preferably in a technical discipline.
• Fluency in Dutch and/or English.
• Proactive, analytical, and results-driven mindset with the ability to thrive in dynamic environments.
